Crocheting my first scarf

Poor Mum has had a bit of bad luck following her around a fair bit lately. Some lowlife decided that it was fun to break in her car, which was parked just barely 10 meters from the chapel where mum was attending a funeral for a friend who's mother just died.  In my mum's bag she had a bottle of perfume she just purchased, medication, keys and assorted personal bits and pieces that you usually find in a lady's bag.

So I decided to send her a care package in the post to cheer her up a little (I am a good daughter!!). I had to think what to put in the care package and since winter is coming up, I decided on a nice scarf, a new bottle of her favorite purfume LouLou and sent with lots and lots of love.

I searched high and low for different scarf patterns, all with varying different types of yarn, thickness, designs. I settled on a Patons scarf pattern.

Soft and feminine scarf I picked
Ta Da, here is the result of my handiwork!!
This was the first time I've made a scarf and I am impressed! I like it so much that I plan on making the same one for myself, but with tassles. I modified the pattern of the scarf a little as I couldn't follow the instructions exactly. I think my result is a little better, forget the flower.  My flower looks really mangled, so I used a different flower pattern from Attic 24.

Me: Happy!!!

I will put up the instructions for my scarf another day as I have do complete three uni assignments and must get them done!!
